தூயன் புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அரிமளம் என்ற ஊரில் ராணி, முனுசாமி தம்பதியினருக்கு மே 16, 1986 அன்று மகனாகப் பிறந்தார். சகோதரி நிலா. புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டம் திருவரங்குளம் அரசினர் மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் பள்ளிக்கல்வி பயின்றார். கிண்டி கிங் அரசு ஆய்வுக்கூட கல்லூரியில் தொழிற்கல்வியும், காரைக்குடி அழகப்பா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் முதுநிலை நுண்ணுயிரியலிலும் பட்டம் பெற்றார். தூயன் ஜூன் 2014-ல் பவித்ராவை மணந்தார். இவர்களுக்கு லெவின் என்னும் மகனும் இதா என்னும் மகளும் உள்ளனர். தற்போது புதுக்கோட்டை ESI மருத்துவமனை ஆய்வகத்தில் பணிபுரிகிறார்.

Autore Note

Thuyan, who regularly writes articles, stories, and reviews in contemporary tamil literature, was born in Pudukkottai in the year 1986.

He is being recognized as a promising young writer by The Pioneer ‘Tamil Hindu’ Magazine and his first short story collection ‘Irumunai’ having widely-read.  ‘Irumunai’ and ‘Darwin’s Vaal ,’ have been published so far. ‘Cathedral’ is his debut novel which has been also widely critically acclaimed. Cathedral has selected for translation into various languages in Chennai International Book Fair 2024
